Vern Thompson on Plain Talk: “I'm going after any vote that's out there”
Vern joined Rob Port on the statewide Plain Talk podcast this week to talk strategy, data centers, and what's really driving Doug Goehring's decisions as Agriculture Commissioner.
On Goehring: "He's just going along with whatever the big money out-of-state multi-billionaires want. He's kind of gotten to be a corporate shill."
On data centers: Vern isn't against industrial development — but these projects are being fast-tracked by out-of-state corporations before North Dakota has any real process in place to ensure transparency or protect landowners. We need to slow down and make sure the rules are written by North Dakotans, not the companies writing the checks.
On his campaign strategy: Vern is going after every available vote, including Republicans who are tired of watching their party serve corporate interests over working people.
