Thompson: Farmers Need Action from Ag Commissioner

At a press conference [Tuesday] afternoon, Democrat Vern Thompson spoke about what he believes North Dakota producers need from government.
He says farmers are facing serious stressors, as trade deals and poor weather conditions threaten their way of life.
Thompson thinks state leaders should be doing more to help.
“You got to go out and sell the programs that you have, and I don’t see anybody doing that. I know they have a number on the website, but you need to go out and see the people and meet the people where they’re at, and that’s not being done at this point,” said Thompson.”
